The Lion-tailed Macaque is a species of monkey found in the Western Ghats of India. It is known for its distinctive lion-like mane of long hair surrounding its face and its long, tufted tail. This primate lives in tropical rainforests and feeds on fruits, seeds, and insects. The Lion-tailed Macaque is critically endangered due to habitat loss and deforestation.
