The Cheetah is renowned as the fastest land animal, capable of reaching speeds up to 70 mph (113 km/h) in short bursts covering distances up to 500 meters. Native to Africa, it has a slender body, long legs, and a distinctive coat with black spots. Cheetahs use their incredible speed to chase down prey such as gazelles and other small to medium-sized ungulates. They have a relatively short lifespan in the wild due to the harsh realities of their environment.
