Mouse Deer, also known as Chevrotains, are small, deer-like mammals found in Southeast Asia. They are known for their diminutive size, with some species being as small as a rabbit. Mouse Deer have a slender body and long legs, which help them navigate dense forest undergrowth. They are herbivorous, feeding on leaves, fruits, and seeds, and are elusive, spending much of their time hiding from predators.
