The Lion is a large, social feline found in Africa and India. Known as the ‘King of the Beasts,’ lions are recognized for their majestic manes and powerful builds. They live in prides, which are family groups consisting of related females, their cubs, and a few adult males. Lions are apex predators and primarily hunt large ungulates, although they also scavenge when opportunities arise.
